This was the first book I have read by RS GREY & I am happy to say I'm a new fan!!! The After of Us is a story full of 2nd chances, love and loss! I loved Will & Emma's story and Lily stole my heart! Their journey was one I loved being a part of and watching the ups and downs of it all.
RS GREY's story was one I really needed it was packed full of sweet love and happily ever afters! Will shows that a man can change and follow his dreams with no fear of what will happen!
It's rare to fall in head 1st and I totally related to Will & Emma's hesitation but it was so inspiring to see love blossom!!!

I love a sweet read and this one sure hit the mark. I also adore a second chance romance!! This book had it all...love, loss, lusty goodness. Finding out who you really are is a crazy ride sometimes. For Will and Emma, finding the happily ever after wasn't just about them together. They needed to figure out how to grow a once upon a time crush into something more.
I wasn't so sure about Will's character when he was first introduced. He was hot headed and very self absorbed. When a little white blonde haired beauty is literally dropped on Will's doorstep, watching him transform from an "all about me" man to a family man was sweet to read. Taking his daughter to meet his brother's family is where the love affaire begins. Seeing is character grow paternally made him ultimately ready for his reintroduction to Emma. Watching their relationship thrive was a sweet and full of spark. Once those two got going, there really wasn't much that could stop them. She was as good for him as he was for her and their unity helped add so much stability for his daughter.
This book was an absolutely easy read for me. No terribly angst but rather just a great story. The writing was well done and flowed well. I appreciate a good second chance love story and this didn't disappoint. Well developed and completely recommended. 4.5 easy stars

I'm ashamed to say that this was my first book by S.R. Grey. It will not be my last. I will make it my mission to read the others in this series after reading this book. So it's safe to say that this book can absolutely be read as a standalone. You will not be lost or confused.
There was a wonderful trait about this story, that even in such a short amount of time, you see so much growth in one person. I did not like Will in the very beginning. I found him to be spoiled, like he felt entitled to everything he had. Although he did have a dream he wished he was able to work towards more, he was content with the job he would soon be starting because it was making big money. All of that changes when his daughter is thrust in to his hands. A daughter he didn't even know existed.
This story was crafted so well. Growth in all aspects, learning what real love in a mature relationship is all about, and creating a family and life that is what your child can be nurtured and loved in is what it is all about. It was wonderful. I'll be getting my copies of the rest of this series and starting at the beginning.
