I cried so hard during this book. I loved the first book, Forgetting August. I was waiting, maybe not so patiently, for this book because I just had to know what happened between these two characters. Everly is trying desperately to move on from her relationship with August. The things that she went through when they were together before the “incident” were just heartbreaking. I think she is scared of being alone, and scared of facing the past and being with the one man she was destined to be with. This story brought me so much closer to August. The detail and description that was put into this story was incredible. Getting his side of the story had me an emotional wreck. I was desperately hoping for him to not be the man he was portrayed to be in the first book. He did not let me down. His love for Everly is forever and his need to protect her is astounding. These two characters will forever be etched on my heart.

So when I finished Forgetting August I was highly anticipating book 2 
& when I got book 2 I was beyond excited to find out what would happen between Everly & August! The book picked up right where it left off and that was awesome but I guess I was expecting August to be his old self but he wasn't at all. He was just a guy in love protecting the one he loves from danger! The story continues and they fight against it but in the end love prevails! I was happy for them but there were a few parts along the way that I didn't find believable but in the end I am happy for them & I enjoyed JL Bergwriting style & I can't wait for her next book
