Bound in Blue by Jessica Ingro - FMR REVIEW

Title: Bound in Blue
Author: Jessica Ingro
Release Date: September 30, 2014

SYNOPSIS:

Strong ties aren't easily broken...

First loves have the ability to fill us with hope and then shatter us when they end. Some people can pick up the pieces and move on. Others simply learn how to exist as a fragment of the person that they used to be.

Shane “Mack” MacAllister is one of the ones simply existing. His wife Ella died at a young age, leaving him alone and broken. Shane knew he’d never be able to give himself to another, believing there was nothing left to give. That is until a young, feisty doctor blazed into his life and made him rethink letting someone into what’s left of his tattered heart.

Dr. Megan Huntley has devoted her life to taking care of others, ever since her twin sister was brutally murdered. She might not have been able to save her sister, but she has made it her mission to help other victims. Long hours in the Emergency Room and volunteer work at the Rape Crisis Center leave little time for relationships. When Megan meets the rugged and handsome Shane MacAllister, she decides to throw caution to the wind and take the police detective for a ride. Too bad she can’t get him out of her head… or her life.

Will Shane and Megan be bound together by true love? Or will past loves and tragedy tear them apart?

REVIEW BY: Tatia
I've been in love with this series ever since I read Love Square. With each new book, I remember why. And I have to say, I think Bound In Blue is my favorite.
We start off with a literal bang..in a supply closet. Shane 'Mack' MacAllister is Jacob  Matthews' partner and Megan Huntley's latest fling. I guess you can't really call it a one night stand if it happened while they're both on the clock and at the hospital. What was supposed to only be a one time thing eventually turned in to a regular event. But they both know that more is not a possibility. They both have demons that haunt them and keep them from pursuing anything more.

While you'll immediately fall in love with Mack and his dominant, controlling personality and Megan and her feisty, take-no-BS attitude, you'll also want to slap some sense in to both of them at times. While they're still mourning their losses, they know in order to make it work, they'll have to let go and try to move on. That's always easier said than done.

I loved just about everything and devoured this book quickly. We get just enough of Jacob and Kara to not miss them and so the focus is truly on Mack and Megan. And this book is HOT, but I would expect nothing less from Jessica Ingro. Every time I pick up a new book of hers, I promise myself that I won't devour it so quickly. Her books are so easy to read between the romance, drama, and just enough suspense to keep you guessing, you'll be disappointed when it's over. This series is one that you'll never want to end. My only complaint is that I feel the ending was a bit rushed. I wish we had gotten a little more story between the last chapter and the epilogue. All in all, another home run for Mrs. Ingro. As always, I'll be anxiously awaiting her next book.
