“Thanks.” Taking a sip, I look around one more time. “Nice house.” I motion around me.
“Thanks,” he says, turning back to the grill. I take a seat, feeling a little out of my element in his house.
“So,” I begin, trying to fill the silence between us. If we aren’t fighting or being smartasses to each other, it seems we don’t have much to say.
“Just relax, Kadence. I’m not gonna rip your clothes off just yet.” And we’re back.
“Yeah, yeah, Casanova, keep it in your pants. You aren’t getting into mine.” I watch as he looks at me, before walking forward like a predator stalking his prey. He stops short of getting in my space, but his tall frame standing over me communicates his formidable power.
“Kadence, don’t lie. You and I both know that what’s in those pants is aching for my cock.” The ache was gone, but with one sentence, his deep gravelly voice has me building an itch I know he could scratch.
“You’re good, you know that?”
“Kadence, I’m more than good.” I roll my eyes at him. Seriously, the man has it bad for himself.
“Tell me honestly, does it work?” I ask, genuinely concerned. I'm hoping I’m not the only fool falling for his dirty words. ‘Cause then I really would need to talk to my vagina.

You need to work harder than that,” I lie, standing from my chair and taking one step into his space. The truth is his dirty words are wearing me down, and if he keeps talking about wet pussies, I’m going to pull my pants down and demand he show mine some attention.
What am I saying? Am I really considering having sex with this man? This crass, dirty, sexy man who pushes my buttons, who irritates me while at the same time manages to turn me on? Of course I am. Why else would I get on his bike?

MC books are my favorite right now. I read one about 6 months ago, and I've been hooked ever since. River Savage did a wonderful job creating a story that will now sit high on my list of favorites. This story isn't all about the club. We get enough to suppress our hunger for it, but we also get plenty of life outside the club to see what Nix and Kadence are like at home, when Nix is with his son and Kadence is with her best friend, Holly.
While Nix is a sexy, foul mouthed, dirty talking, biker, when he's with his son, we get to see a totally different side, one that we don't get to see with a lot of bikers. He's soft and thoughtful, would lay down his life to make his son happy.
Kadence has one of the best friends around. Holly was there for her after the fire to help her rebuild her life and heal after such a dramatic event. She stuck by her side when all Kadence wanted was to be left alone. And now she's there to give Kadence the little push she needs to let go and live a little.
And if you're thinking this book is all rainbows and butterflies, then you're wrong. We get plenty of drama to keep you on your toes, crossing your fingers that everything works out for the best. I loved this book. I can't say enough great things about it. I'll be following the series, waiting impatiently for the next book.
This was my first MC book, and am I hooked! What an excellent read.
Kadence is a school teacher who recently ended a relationship. She's living with her girlfriend after a fire at her home. She's a very strong and independent woman.
Nix is president of the Knights Rebels MC, which is a group of bikers who are trying to clean up their club from the past, by doing good things. Nix is an alpha male, WOW! Over powering and used to getting what he wants.
They meet at a school conference for Nix's son. Nix is hooked and interested, but Kadence keeps fighting the attraction and Nix loves the challenge. Their story is exciting, sexy and romantic.
Could not put this book down. I'm looking forward to reading more about this biker series.

Incandescent is a pretty damn good debut novel. MC books are totally my thing right now so this book was a no brainer but what also pulled me in was the forbidden romance involved; a teacher & her student's father. I totally love forbidden romances too so I was really excited to get this book in my hands. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Both main characters are intriguing in their own right and their voices keep you entertained from beginning to end. I'm glad we get both their POVs as we get to know them better and get to see their story from different angles. Especially with some twists and turns along the way, it became really helpful. This novel will grab your attention and keep it the whole way through.

She has such a big heart, is a great friend, super caring, and loves her students. What I really like about her is how strong and resilient she is. When we first meet her, she had come along way from the broken and fragile woman she was after a tragic event that occurred. Though she overcame it, what happened to her sure did leave its mark; both physically and mentally. Leading her to have her guard up and not let others in. Too bad fate wasn't about to let her get away with that. Throwing Nix into her life sure turned it upside down and gave her something she never thought she'd be able to have again. A second chance at happily ever after.

Nix in three words: sexy. alpha. biker. Totally loved this guy. He's all hard shell and softness inside. One big teddy bear. Sure, as the President of his MC he's tough and all bad ass barking orders but when it comes to his son and Kadence, the man is all sweetness. And did I mention sexy? ;) lol One thing I love about him is that he's different from the typical bikers we see in other MC books. Since becoming President, his main priority was keeping the town safe. His MC never participated in drug dealing, weapon selling, or murder. Only resorting to violence when it was absolutely necessary. Though Nix thought he had everything he could ever want in life, meeting Kadence sure made him rethink that. For once, there was a woman he wanted to have for more than just one night.
"It's more like you're stuck with me," I tell her. Her eyes sparkle with happiness, like the though of it couldn't get any better. Her mouth descents to my ear, and quietly she confesses, "I wouldn't want to be stuck with anyone else." Yep, I've fallen in love. - Nix & Kadence
Overall, I would recommend Incandescent to MC romance lovers who enjoy forbidden romances, readers who are looking for a biker book with only a hint of violence, and alpha lovers. I really enjoyed reading Kadence & Nix's story, especially their bickering. I couldn't get enough of that lol. I'm really hoping somewhere in the series they get another book or at least a novella. So ready for some more Nix, Kadence, & Z!!!
