Ok this is a very dark romance. Yes there are lots of sexual moments but the darkness is what draws you in.
From the moment Jethro Hawk appears you know darkness has descended. There is no mistaking the fact that he is not a nice guy. He is frightening, mysterious, sexy and oozes power. He is not someone you want to mess with.
Nila works out pretty quickly she is in a situation that is out of her control and out of her depth. She is bound by 600 years of family history that she had no idea existed until she was taken.
The problem is that even though Jethro is in charge of her debt repayment there is something about him that she is attracted to and she can't stop it and can't fight it. Part of her doesn't want to!
Jethro feels it too and he is fighting it. As far as he is concerned he is the hunter and she is the pray and that is all there is too it.
If you are a fan of the Dark Romance genre then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. It will hook you in right at the beginning and keep you reading right to the end.
This is my first Pepper Winters book and I was not disappointed. This book met and exceeded all of me expectations.
This book is a cliffhanger but I think the story is that good and so well written you will be happily waiting for the next book to be released to see what happens next!!
