Josh is also her ex-boyfriend's best friend, therefore completely off-limits...unless they don't get caught.

  • Rae Omnibus (Blair Babylon): Rae will do anything to stay in college and for her dream of a clinic for autistic kids, but when the sexy and mysterious owner of The Devilhouse offers her job, she realizes that her small-town definition of "anything" was far too limited.

That First Kiss by J.C. Valentine

His finger stroked the inside of her thigh, seeking higher ground as his thoughts rolled forward. Piper’s eyes trained on his face, hanging on his every word. “I didn’t intend for things to get as heated as they did, but as soon as I touched you, I needed more. I couldn’t help myself. You possessed me.”
The glazed look in her eye told him that she was remembering that night as vividly as he was. Placing both hands on the cushions on either side of her body, he hemmed her in, bringing their faces so close that when he spoke, his lips grazed hers. “The way you danced that night, pushing that sweet little ass of yours against me. It’s haunted me, Piper,” he whispered.  “You need to understand, I tried to resist you, just like I have been trying to resist you, but you drive me crazy. When I’m with you, it takes everything in me to stay away. All I think about, all I dream about is burying myself inside you.”
Piper licked her lips and Tate zeroed in on the tiny movement. “I want to suck those plump lips into my mouth,” he murmured. Shifting, he brought his knee up so it rested on the couch alongside hers and hovered over her. Her face was flushed and her chest rose and fell heavily. She wasn’t unaffected.
“You need to leave,” she said weakly.
Tate chose that moment to drop his head into the crook of her neck, nuzzling her. She smelled faintly of roses, and his cock jumped at her soft, feminine scent. “Do you want me to leave?” he asked softly.
He could feel her softening beneath him, her breath coming out in shudders as he skimmed his lips lightly up her neck to her ear, where he licked the pulse beating rapidly beneath her sensitive skin. “Yes.”
The single word left her on a stilted breath, only solidifying his need to get inside her. “I don’t think you do,” he murmured. With sure hands, Tate grabbed the backs of her thighs and yanked her toward him, seating her firmly beneath him on her back with her legs spread wide.

[Since this is a collection with over 3,000 pages, I thought I would do this a little differently.  I randomly selected works within the collection and read the first several chapters.]

His Wicked Game by Ember Casey lives up to its title.  Lily is forced to take drastic measures to get Calder's attention.  After Calder's fathers death, Calder cut all the funding off to the charitable organization that Lily's family runs.  Lily gets Calder's attention when she climbs the gates to his mansion and gets stranded with him due to flooding from heavy rains.  Calder isn't hiding his attraction to Lily and she wonders if it will come down to trading her body for his monetary support of their organization.
I can't wait to get back to this story.  Who could resist reading a story about a curious and playful vixen (Lily), Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome (Calder), a mansion with secret tunnels and a garden maze and an attraction so hot that it melts butter?  Not me for sure.

Learning Curves by Olivia Rigal, where the students in a french cooking class are cooking up more than french cuisine.  The characters include brother and sister (Peter and Mary), a writer (George), newlyweds (Jena and Thomas), a friend of a friend (Charles) and the teacher (Ariane).  Peter still recovering from his wife's death a year past, never thought he would look at another woman much less lust after Ariane.  George and Mary find themselves irresistibly drawn together.  Charles has his eye on the butcher next door who is a good friend and frequent visitor to Ariane's class.  And then there is Ariane, herself who is drawn to Peter but doesn't know if she is willing to take a chance on him or let him pass as ships do during the night.  Love and lust simmer in the air like spices.

Can't Shake You by Molly McLain has me all shook up.  Carissa and Josh had a "thing" no one knew about three years ago before he shipped off overseas for the Marines.  While he was gone, Carissa started hanging out with a friend and eventually ended up in his bed.  Josh is back and doesn't want to break the bro code by pursuing his best friends ex-girlfriend even though that is what he wants most.  Carissa has spent the last three years trying to forget Josh and find another man that compares to him - too bad she can't.
Sparks fly when they are forced to work together on a project.  The big question is whether Josh will throw the bro code out the window and what Carissa will do if he does.

His Indecent Lessons by Sky Corgan has me yearning to be back in college in her art appreciation class.  Cheyenne was excited to start college because she is tired of boys and wants a real man in her life.  She's never met that special someone that she was willing to go all the way for.  Imagine her surprise when her art appreciated teacher Mr. Reed makes everything on her tingle inside and out.  She needs to talk to Professor Reed because she needs an extension on her project and walks away without talking to him and having stolen his pen.  Who knew that moment would be so life changing?
Professor Reed realizes that she is a flower blossom of a goddess that is ready to bloom under the right tutelage and offers to teach her about the art of sex.  WARNING - make sure you have plenty of cold water around when you are reading this one.

Red Hot Obsessions is a great name for this collection of hot and steamy reads!
