RELEASE BLITZ ~ Seven Sons by Lili Saint Germain

Book Title: Seven Sons by Lili St. Germain

Release date: January 3, 2014

My father was most certainly NOT an innocent man. As the leader of the Gypsy Brothers MC, he was guilty of many things. But he died for a crime that he didn’t commit, framed by an enemy within who then stole his club and everything he had ever worked to protect.

Including my innocence.

When Dornan Ross framed my father, he set into motion a series of events that could never be undone. My father was murdered by Dornan Ross and his sons when I was fifteen years old.

Before my father died, Dornan Ross and his seven sons stole my innocence, branded my skin and in doing so, ensured that their lives would be prematurely cut short. That they would suffer.

I’ve just turned twenty-one, and I’m out for blood. I'm out for revenge.

But I didn't expect to fall for Jase, the youngest brother in the club.

I didn't expect that he would turn my world upside down, yank my heart out of my chest and ride away into the sunset with it.

Now, I'm faced with an impossible choice - Jase, or avenging my fathers death?

3.5-4 stars. Quite an enjoyable read, but with some plot inconsistencies that cannot be overlooked.

I’m not a fan of serials but this one caught my attention from the very start and kept it all the way to the end. Warning you now, though, this one does end on a cliffhanger and the follow up, Six Brothers, will be released in February 2014.

So what’s this about?

Juliette, now going by the name ‘Sammi,’ is out for blood. She seeks vengeance and retribution from the sickeningly evil Dornan Ross and his seven sons after they framed her father and brutally stole her virginity.

Six years have passed.

...and it’s time to put her action in plan.

description

...but she didn’t expect to fall for Jase, the youngest son. Can she trust him?

My quick two cents:

Gripping. Harsh. Unapologetic. Fast-paced. Somewhat dark, but 100% twisted! I thoroughly enjoyed it! The only thing I didn’t like was how quickly Dornan fell for Juliette. It closely bordered on insta-love/lust/obsession. But hey, that’s the beauty of serials. Everything’s quick. Can’t wait to see what Juliette’s plans are in the next installment!

Q&A Session with Lili St. Germain

Today I’ve had a fabulous time chatting with Lili about her upcoming book Seven Sons, set to be released on January 5, 2014. This is a modern erotic biker novella, and all new installments will be added to the series regularly and published by the end of 2014.

These questions and answers contain plot spoilers and are not designed for those that haven’t read SS yet. For those that have, here are some extra juicy details and behind-the-scenes moments that’ll maybe help explain some things ;)

Q: So Juliette's been planning her revenge for 6 years now and she has surgery. I might have missed it, but why didn't she get some kind of surgical cover up for her scars?

A: She's been basically stranded with Elliot's grandmother for the better part of 6 years, in hiding so she hasn't had much of a chance to get out and have them tattooed. And she really wants to use the excuse to see Elliot because she's still hung up on him, which will be discussed in a scene when he asks "why me" in the next installment. But totally get your question!

P.S. And TBH skin grafting is something that takes longer than six weeks so I dismissed that straight away. The scars are her constant threat to being found out because if you shine a bright light on a raised scar, even if it’s been tattooed over, and if you're looking for it, you will see it.

Q: She has her plan down. Okay. But for a good part of the book she doesn’t do anything to execute it. Why is that?

A: Her plan was screwed up when Dornan changed it up and took her to the clubhouse to be his new bitch.

Q: She constantly mentions how attractive her rapist Dornan Ross is when she’s really plotting revenge against him. For some strange reason, it didn’t sit well with me. Any thoughts on that aspect?

A: It’s a fucked up book. I guess I'm trying to set the scene for what's to come. I have several reasons. I want the reader to be reminded of how much Jason and Dornan look alike. I want it to be understandable how other women are attracted to Dornan so much. And things between Sammi and Dornan are only going to get deeper and more complicated. BUT no Stockholmsyndrome here, no way. He's her rapist and she wants him dead, but first she wants him to suffer.

Feifei’s sidenote: YES!! Thank goodness, no Stockholm Syndrome *fist pump*

Lili: NOOO! Not in this one! That's part of the drive to write this book, to explore what *I* think could be a possible scenario where you'd willingly stay with the man who raped you, killed your father, and destroyed your life.

Feifei: I loved that aspect! It takes strength and resilience to do what she did so I respect Sammi’s character! She’s a damaged but tough cookie!

Lili: I mean, Sammi is damaged, yes. She gets off on fooling him, especially in the first scene. But she has been thinking about nothing else but screwing him over for six years, and she wants it to hurt. Once she finds her footing and kills Chad, she really gains that confidence she has been lacking in a lot of book 1, especially since she has been taken by surprise because her plan was to get a job dancing at the club, not to be Dornan's lover.

Q: They say curiosity killed the cat, but whatever!! I have to know: what did Chad die of?? Must be some strong stuff for him to experience the symptoms so quickly!

A: Died of pure methamphetamine poisoning. I saw it on the news a while back where it happened to some guy who accidently drank from a can of energy drink he'd been delivered.

Feifei’s sidenote: YIKES!! *thinks to not get on Sammi’s bad side*

Lili: And that's going to come out in the autopsy in the next book. The reader finds out along with the Ross family. And Sammi is just smug J

Q: Is there a particular killing order Sammi’s going in? It seems to be oldest to youngest…

A: She isn't killing the sons in order from oldest to youngest. Chad just got unlucky because he threatened her and told her he was onto her with the "You lose your accent when you're angry" kinda thing so he got bumped up on her hit list. Plus Michael's death really shook her up and motivated her to move from “recon” to “revenge.”

Feifei’s sidenote: Omg!! So so sad about Michael! L

Lili: I know, poor kid!

Feifei: I have no qualms with the killing order.

WAIT!

As long as Dornan is LAST and dies a slow painful death LOL *rubs hands*

Lili: Oh hell yeah! Dornan's impending death is going to be the carrot dangling for the first 6 books J

Q: So now that you have the first installment ready, where do you see this serial series going? It sort of reminds me of a TV series…

A: That's exactly how I'm trying to do this! Like a TV series. But I don't want brutal cliffhangers because I respect the readers.

Feifei’s sidenote: Yeah!! And I SUPER appreciate you telling readers ahead of time that this novella ends on a cliffhanger. Thank goodness we won’t have to wait too long for the next!

Lili: Oh yeah, of course! I guess that’s the bad part about installments since there's just no way to stuff all of the answers into the first one, but also good because I happen to LOVE cliffhangers! Not if they're a year apart, I can't handle that. But a month I thought I could keep most people happy J

Wrap up:

Feifei: Okay, done deal. Thank you tons for answering my questions and I’m sure, some of the other reader’s questions too!

Lili: Hey, no problem, I love talking about these guys that live in my head and I really appreciate you taking the time to chat with me!
