About READY OR NOT
Born into wealth
and privilege, free-spirited Liv Quinn left it all behind when she realized
there was more to life than living off of trust funds and barely skating by.
Since then, she’s worked and fought for everything she’s earned and never
looked back at the world or the family she left behind.
Jackson Reid is
starting over with a new job in a brand new city. A single father to his
son Noah, he hopes the change will help strengthen the bond that has seemed to
suffer since puberty reared its ugly head. What he hadn’t planned on was
Liv—his exotic next-door neighbor who drives him insane with her wild, new age
lifestyle, but still manages to leave him aching for more.
As challenges arise
and feelings intensify, will these neighbors be able to look past their
differences and find a middle ground? When love comes knocking, will they
be ready, or not?

Olivia (Liv) Prescott is a free spirited
psychologist who has a tattoo, wears flowy dresses and marches to the beat of
her own drummer. Not in a place to
settle down she has her share of dates but never someone worth settling down
with.
One morning Liv wakes up to find that the
moving company who is moving her new neighbor into the house next door tramples
and destroys Liv’s flower bed. A pissed off Liv goes next door and when Jackson
Reid opens the door…well let’s just say sparks fly.
A battle ensures. Pranks are done against
each other and Liv and Jackson start falling for each other. Even Noah,
Jackson’s 11 year old son helps out with the pranks and is usually on Liv’s
side.
Jackson thought the Liv’s care free spirit
was all wrong for him. Liv fought the attraction as well but when these two
finally get together it is sweet and explosive.
I really loved this story! This is a must
read series for me and this did not disappoint. Filled with humor, drama, hope
and love Ready or Not tugs at the heart strings and has the reader dreamily
sighing. I give this 4.5 warm and fuzzy stars.

Olivia "Liv" Prescott is a senator’s daughter who left to start a life of her own away from the limelight of politics. Single father, Jackson Reid, who inherited his grandmother’s house, and his son, Noah are new comers in town. This is the story of two people making and settling in an area to call home.
This is the first book I have read from J.L. Berg' s Ready Series and it was one I really enjoyed. Independent, eclectic girl seeking to make her own lifestyle of living…carefree girl power! And who cannot resist single father raising his son who would do anything to give him a good life…swoony hot! Also, adding the pranks and the banter between Liv & Jackson was the perfect touch to this story. A sweet 4 stars recommended read of finding your own place in life even if it means starting over new and out of their comfort zone.

I can easily give this book a solid 4*. I
had no idea this was book #4 in a series!! It was so well done and flowed so
well it was actually a great book as a standalone. This book was so enjoyable
and easy to read that I was refreshed after I finished.
I thought the characters were just
adorable. I liked the idea that this woman was a fierce force to be reckoned
with but yet still was able to be vulnerable. She just needed the right guy to
allow her independence to be showcased and tenderness to be inspired. And
Jackson…all brooding and strong…sigh. He was amazingly the perfect combination
of rugged and damaged.
The secondary characters in this book were
amazing too! I love how they were a family even without the bloodline. They
accepted and supported each other better than some traditional families these
days. I can see how these guys warmed their way in to the hearts of readers
through this series.
This book is a total recommend! Easy, fun
and light hearted. I was really happy to be introduced to J.L. Berg. Her style
and writing technique is easy and well thought out. I really enjoyed this book
and will definitely go back and complete the series!!
