Heartbreak. They say it’s the worst kind of death, because the pain has a way of leaching everything out of you. Hope. Fear. Love. Everything.
When that was the first thing you read in the book I was prepared for a love story that didn’t end the way you hoped it would along the way. I had really wanted this one to be another one of those cute love stories that I like to read often. However, I was wrong. This book had so much more than the love. It had friendship and death and healing and strength.
Carrigan and Heath have been best friends since they were 8. Fast forward almost 10 years when they are seniors in high school. The older they get the more Heath realizes that she is his forever kinda love.
“I look at extraordinary things, only to think they’re ordinary compared to her. I know she’s my forever kinda love, because she’s the light in my darkness, giving me the strength to never give up.”
But does Carrigan “Ace” feel the same way about him? Even if she does, what if their love doesn’t have forever?
