I am huge Rachel Van Dyken fan and this book didn’t disappoint!! The Dare is the third book in The Bet series. In this book Grandma Nadine is trying to pair up Chars sister Beth with Senator Jace. All the main characters from the previous book make appearances throughout the book.
The characters are outstanding!! Grandma Nadine is in full form in this book, I completely love her. Every time she does something devious I’m shocked at how far she will go to accomplish her matchmaking.
I absolutely loved her conversation with the Federal Agent that is in the beginning of each chapter. Beth and Jace are my favorite couple in the series. The chemistry is fantastic and their banter is the best. The book was hysterical so be prepared to laugh out loud while reading about Grandma Nadine tactics.
This is my favorite book of the series so far.
It is definitely a must read!!

I'm not going to lie, this is the first book I've read in the 'Forever Romance' series by Rachel Van Dyken. I've loved every book I've read by her and The Dare was no different. Between the non-traditional love story and Grandma Nadine's witty humor, I couldn't get enough.
Grandma Nadine is the matchmaker in the family. Well, I don't really know if matchmaker is the correct word to describe her. She's a jack-of-all trades so to speak. I wish I had someone in my life as charismatic and hilarious as she is. Life would never be dull.
In The Dare, Beth and Jace wake up in bed together to discover that they don't remember anything from the night before. With Jace being a senator and thinking Beth is a paid prostitute, this isn't good. The last thing he needs is a scandal to help his ratings drop. With the help of Grandma Nadine, they are jetted off on a week long vacation that turns in to adare. Only problem is, can you spend a week with someone and not start to fall for them, even just a little bit?
I will most definitely be picking up the first two books in this series, especially if it means more side-splitting laughter from Grandma and her grandsons to go along with her.

“I’m not saying I didn’t get a little help.” Grandma shrugged. “What woman doesn’t want to look twenty years younger? These old things still have some perk left.” She pointed to herself and winked.
“I’m sorry, but what does this have to do with our national security?” The FBI agent took off his glasses and groaned.
“Oh, it doesn’t. I was just bored with all the silly questions about kidnapping and death. So depressing! You wouldn’t happen to have any wine, now would you?”
