Synopsis

Daisy “Little Flower” Anderson has lived her entire life on the sidelines of the Renegade Sons MC. Her father is a member, and her mother a club whore turned old lady. Not wanting to follow their footsteps, she chose a different path; one that keeps her close to the biker family she loves, but out of the club. Struggling to keep it together, she never thought she would have anything of her own, until she met Preach. He is everything she swore she didn't want in life. One night of passion leads to unexpected consequences, and she knows, now more than ever, it’s time to move forward. Garrett “Preach” Austin lived his life caught in his father’s iron fist. He never thought he would want anything more than freedom from his past, until he met his “Little Flower”. She shows him there is more to life than pain. Preach has a secret; one that forces him to choose between Daisy and his brothers. Even though he loves Daisy, the Renegade Sons are the only true family he has. He knows he can’t have her, yet he can’t let her go. When Daisy moves on, Preach realizes what he’s lost. Can he prove that he’s the man for her, or is he too late?

Daisy, aka Little Flower, has seen far too much of life's hardships in her seventeen years.  She's always felt like she never quite fit in - always been on the outskirts of being accepted.  Is it because her mother sleeps around with the other members of the Renegade Sons motorcycle club?  Is it because her father is a drunk?  Or maybe because her Gramps shares her Grams with Uncle Holt?  A few months shy of her eighteenth birthday, Daisy knows that life isn't for her.

When Preach, aka Garrett, rescues Daisy from some trouble-making teens it makes Daisy rethink her stance on the MC life.  Preach is a few years older than Daisy but hot as hell and he doesn't seem like the typical biker.  Preach is blind-sided by Daisy's beauty and just knows that she is the woman for him.  Preach starts making excuses to spend time with Daisy - to get to know her and woo her - all the while knowing that he can't make a serious move on her until her eighteenth birthday.

The days fly by until Daisy has graduated high school and is turning eighteen.  The closer it gets to the time for Preach to act, the more a girl that Daisy thought was her friend, Leah starts causing trouble for them.  Leah wants Preach for her own and she'll fight dirty, do anything to get him.

Daisy's dad, Maker wrecked his bike about this time and needs intensive physical therapy in another city; if he gets the therapy he may walk again.  Lula, Daisy's mom won't leave town - won't give up her other men to take care of Maker.  The timing works out perfect for Daisy because it appears that Preach did something with Leah.  Broken-hearted Daisy leaves town with her dad.

Fast-forward three years, Daisy and Maker are back.  Lula is still a slut.  Leah is still a slut.  Preach is a mean drunk wallowing in his guilt and unrequited love for Daisy.  In the three years she has been gone, Daisy hasn't dated anyone else - she still loves Preach.  One of her first nights back in town, Preach drunkenly takes her virginity and doesn't remember it.  Daisy is devastated!

Daisy doesn't understand how she can love Preach when he was so horrible to her and she resolves to wash her hands of him once and for all.  Fate had a different plan in mind for her.  You'll have to get the book to find out what Fate has planned for Daisy, Preach, Leah, Maker, Lula and the rest of the Renegade Sons.

Emily and Dawn wrote a thoroughly captivating story!  Renegade Rejects isn't just about Daisy and Preach - it's about everybody in the MC.  They're one big family and it illustrates how the events in one life cause ripples in another.  Some of the characters had hard lessons to learn and it wasn't easy to watch.  The story came full circle and wrapped up nicely - I'm not saying it was a HEA or a cliff-hanger - I'm saying there weren't lots of questions when the dust settled.

Excerpt/Teaser:

Preach “Can you do me a favor, brother?” Timber lifts his chin. “What’cha need?” Lifting a nearly empty bottle of beer, Maker motions for the prospect to bring him another. “I was supposed to pick up Little Flower, but I’m too drunk to have her on my bike. Can you run down to the diner and take her home?” “If you knew you had to pick up your daughter, why the hell have you been drinking?” He shrugs. “I didn’t mean to get drunk, but it just happened.” “If you for once put the beer down, it wouldn’t just happen,” Timber mumbles under his breath before looking toward me. “You wanna take a ride?” Nodding, I stand up and follow him outside. “I didn’t know Maker had a kid.” “He’s got a daughter, and she’s probably the prettiest little thing you’ve ever seen. His bitch of a wife keeps her away from the club, so she’s not around much. ” “Lula’s always here. Why doesn’t she let the girl come around?” He slides onto his bike before answering me. “Lula likes to be the center of attention. When her daughter’s around, she’s nothing but a shadow.” I climb onto my bike, wondering what is so special about this kid.
