Oh my word. This book had me crying the whole first part of it. What Rome went through no parent should ever have to experience. My heart was in pieces.

We met Rome in Too Bad so Sad and I knew that I would love him. Rome was an ex football player and now he is a guard at a prison and part of the Bear Bottom MC. And looking after his son. He spends all his time with Matais as his mother just couldnt deal with het sons illness anymore. Now he spends his time making sure that his son has everything he needs. And then he meets Isodora. She become the one person who was there for him when it felt like his world was falling apart. But he couldn't get involved with her because what if he got close to her and she leaves him as well.

Isodora has her own cleaning service and she helps her parents with their cleaning service. And seriously I hated her parents. ( you will understand when you read the book) But Izzy has been through hell as well. And now all she does is clean houses and hope everyone leaves her alone. Until she met a little boy who she couldn't help but fall in love and maybe she was a little in love with his father too. But when everything falls apart will Izzy have the strength to hold onto something that will become the very air that she breathes...

This book like I said had me crying my eyes out but then this author put my heart back together again. Rome and Izzy both had such horrible things happen to them but in the end they only had each other to lean on when things got really hard. Another good start to a new MC series. I can't wait to read the next one...

5 Stars

When Rome Pierce moved to Bear Bottom, Texas, it was his intention to lay low. To not be seen. To find a way to heal his body and soul—as well as his son’s.
Nobody would know by looking at him that he used to play professional football. Not with the Bare Bottom MC cut covering his back, and definitely not with his friendly smile completely obliterated.
No longer is there charm in each smooth word that comes out of his mouth. What’s left is an angry, bitter, scared man that’s terrified one day he’s going to wake up and his entire world is going to be gone.
Nobody knows what drove him to leave the game he loved—nobody but her.
She’s the one person that has helped him make it through the dark days and even darker nights. She’s the bright and shining star in his pitch-black sky.
And he doesn’t even know her name.
He should be afraid that she knows things that not anyone—not even his best friend—knows.
Yet, with each encounter, he gives what little bit of his soul remains, and before he knows it only two people on this earth—one dying, and one too afraid to live—make his life worth living.
Until one day he has to choose—the love of his life, or the life he brought into this world.
Two impossible situations. One decision that would change him forever.

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 9, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.
