OMG Penelope Ward what did you do to me??? I want my very own Mack Daddy!!! This book was funny, dramatic, suspenseful, and interesting, with a little bit of steam. It was everything I would expect from a Penelope Ward book and more!

This is sort of like a second chance/friends to lovers romance but with a twist. Mack and Frankie know each other from their college days. To be vague about it...things happened, they went their separate ways, only to run into each other years later. The author give us both the present day happening but also gives the readers Mack and Frankie's past. We learned what happening and what caused their falling out. I think my favor it part is when Mack is telling these "made up" stories to all the kids that Frankie teaches, but these stories are actual events that happened between Frankie and Mack. I was totally surprised with the twists at the end! Good job with keeping me on my toes! I did not see that coming! 

I can see some people getting a little upset or frustrated with Mack. There were times when I got angry and frustrated with Mack. He made some not so wise choices while growing up but he totally redeemed himself in the end. Frankie was just so sweet and caring, it was hard not to love her. 

Overall, this book was fantastic! It was exactly what you would expect from a Penelope Ward novel. The writing was amazing, the story was fantastic, and the characters were lovable! Read this book! I don't think you will be disappointed!

Omg Penelope Ward. In all honesty, there hasn't been a book from her that I have not enjoyed. Whether it's the story or characters, her books always manage to enrapture you the whole way through. And Mack Daddy is definitely one of them!

I am such a sucker for a good second chance story and with the add on of a smokin hot single dad? It was definitely right up my alley! From the get-go I was excited when I saw the book hit my kindle because I knew Penelope was gonna serve it to me right. And once I started reading Chapter 1, I just couldn't help but want to know more about Mack and Frankie. You will become intrigued from their first interaction in the book. When Frankie got quite the surprise at the start of the new school year. Not only does the man have a child but girlfriend already has a man. Talk about complicated! I couldn't help but wonder what happened to them in the past? My nosy side wanted to know all details asap. I was SO happy for the chapters on their past and for the dual POV, which I absolutely loved because we got to experience it through both characters.

Mack and Frankie have quite the story to tell. It's a different kind of second chance story but is nonetheless just as heartwarming and just full of feels like the best of them. And of course has that classic hint of humor you find in Penelope's work. Mack Daddy is definitely a must read for Penelope Ward fans and those who enjoy reading funny romances that make you feel all squishy inside
