Yours To Bare by Jessica Hawkins
Released: December 8, 2016

Synopsis

Finn No matter how cruel it’s been in the past, I’ve never been able to flip fate the bird. I’m a romantic at heart. So when fate drops a leather-bound journal at my feet, I know I should walk away.   I don't. I pick her up, bend her spine, spread her pages. From the first word, I’m a goner. The owner didn’t give me access to her most intimate desires, but I devour them anyway. Her private darkness, her candid, explicit poetry—it all goes down like warm milk. And from that point forward, I drink, eat, and sleep her.   Halston I went to his apartment and let him take my picture. Just once, to see how it would feel. I’m not his to look at, to inspire, to touch, but when he watches me through his lens, it gives me a high I don’t want to come down from…   My journal is the one place I can be myself—as long as I can tie it up and put it away when I’m finished. But when Finn undoes the bow, he pulls strings that could unravel each of us.

Review by: Tatia

If you've read Slip of the Tongue then you know what goes on, the circumstances of everything and so on. If not, the you can probably guess. I was actually okay with how everything ended, but I wanted Finn to get his own story. Well, MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE!!!!! A double dosage of Finn this year? Bring it on!

Finn finds a journal. He knows he shouldn't look inside, but when no one nearby claims it, he knows a peek can't hurt. Just to try to find who the owner is. Only once he gets inside, he doesn't find what he expected. "Dear Diary..." this is no book full of sweet nothings. No, this book is way more mature and hair raising than that. Now he must find the owner.
Does she ask for it or not? Halston knows she's lost her journal, she's just not sure whether she should ask the workers behind the counter or not about it. She's sure that they've probably read it if so and will think she's weird or a freak or something. Only once she figures out who has it does she realize that maybe it's not so odd, but she still doesn't want anyone reading it, even if he is a drop dead gorgeous photographer.

Finn's learned from his mistakes. No more cheating in his future. The next woman he makes his, he'll make sure that she's 100% his first before anything even begins. He has to. He can't handle another Sadie situation. Finn and Halston, between his pictures and her words, they're fantasies come to life. When you put them together, it creates a product that is going to turn heads. And it does. Not only are they compatible in a professional sense but in every other sense as well. The tension is like a bomb waiting to go off. And boy is there an explosion! I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I had one day to read this book. I didn't even need that long. When you're an addict, you latch on to youraddiction and inhale it as soon as you feel it in your presence. That's what happened here. I'd been craving a hit of Finn, and it did not disappoint. He's everything I remember and more. This book is more amazing than I could have ever imagined. I could read about Finn and Halston forever. It's not just a straight-laced book about the two. No, we still get a little angst in there. Certain situations aren't ideal and not all of the possible issues are cleared up, but that's what makes it so good. You are waiting for it all to come crashing down. Jessica Hawkins is the queen of angst and build up. Her writing style has you reading the words faster than you ever thought possible. She heard the calling for more of the sensitive, romantic, sexy photographer and she answered that call with a story so hot that you'll be fanning yourself while reading. You won't be able to get enough of Finn. While it can be read as a standalone, believe me, this book won't be enough for you. I'd read Slip of the Tongue first so that you have the whole story. Plus, you won't be able toresist Finn and his hip-thrusting ways. If you don't read it first and decide to dive right in, let me go ahead and say it, I told you so!

5 Stars
