ABOUT Roman:
New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett steams up the ice all over again as the Carolina Cold Fury hockey team’s hottest bad boy gets his first taste of something good.
In a league full of troublemakers, Cold Fury defenseman Roman Sýkora stands out—at least when it comes to negative publicity. When he’s not chilling in the penalty box, the sizzling Czech skate demon is racking up tabloid headlines for his scandalous behavior with the ladies. But now Roman’s feeling the burn from management to clean up his act, or else. Luckily he’s got an enticing distraction: a fun-loving barista who plays the ukulele and brings out a side of Roman he didn’t know he had.
Lexi Robertson came to Raleigh, North Carolina, to finally meet her father, Brian Brannon, and her half sister, Gray, both of whom work in the Cold Fury’s front office. That’s where she first meets sexy, intimidating Roman—who’s really a big softie at heart. As one relationship takes off, another begins: Brian seems to be clicking with Lexi’s boss at the coffee shop. But when the friction between Roman and her new family heats up, Lexi wonders whether she’s a pawn in their game. Feeling hurt and foolish, Lexi’s ready to quit while she’s ahead. Trouble is, Roman’s not ready to quit on her.

This entire series has been one fantastic book after the next. The storylines, characters, and the writing has been exceptional. None more so than Roman.
This book is unique from others by the sheer fact that Roman and Lexi are the drama free, laid back, and easy going characters that help you sink into a book and just enjoy it.
Beyond the beauty of these exceptional characters is a storyline that takes you by surprise when it grabs hold of you and never lets you go. There is so much going on in the book you don't even want to blink for fear of missing something!
I read this book in one sitting and even now, a week later, these characters are still on my mind.

I haven't
met a Cold Fury bad boy I didn't love and Roman is no exception. He's brash and
does what he wants with no regrets. Until he meets his match in Lexi. She's
unique and head strong with a side of wanderlust. This combination is just
enough peek Romans interest and make him desire more.
Lexi is
literally dropping herself of the Cold Fury doorsteps with the intention of
figuring things out. Only, she isn't getting the answers she came for,
she's found someone new to look onto. He's nothing that she's used to but
everything she never knew she'd need. Since he's used to only worrying about
himself, the thought of anyhow,an beyond a one night stand is just so foreign
to him. They meet in an unlikely circumstance, yet it perfectly fits their
personalities. Hearts and fireworks aren't needed because the sweet subtleties
are amazing.
I loved
Roman for the simplistic disaster that he puts off. Yet I loved him for the
strong man he hides from everyone else. Lexi's simple sweet side made me love
her character and the softness that she brought to the storyline. This cold
fury storyline could go on forever and I would continue to read and enjoy every
minute of them!

Sawyer Bennett brings us another Cold Fury story and this one is like 2 stories in one...1st you meet Lexi (Brian Brannon) daughter who he barely finds out exists 26 yrs later who is swept off her feet by bad boy Roman! Their chemistry and connection is instant and so fun to read. They build a friendship and then it blossoms.
Meanwhile the second story is Brian and Georgia (Lexi's Boss). Georgia goes after what she wants and it surprises Brian but he can't not want to get to know this quirky, crazy women. They have a Adorable connection and it's cute to see a soft side of Mr Brannon.
Needless to say this story is full of fun and a easy read! Thank you Sawyer Bennett for another amazing read and I can't wait to meet Lucas!!!!!

I didn't think this series could get any better, then it did! But then the author of this amazingly fun series is Sawyer Bennett, enough said.
I've been with the Carolina Fury from the first moment Alex Crossman burst into the reading world with skates flying and ice spraying. I expected each installment to be as good as or better than the last and I haven't been disappointed once.
Sawyer Bennett gives her characters real voices. Real lives that we as readers can easily identify with.
Roman is a little different than the others in this series. The heat level isn't quite as hot as the others, but it works. Roman and Lexi have plenty of spark together.
Roman is bold, in-your-face brash, does what he wants when he wants, but he's so sweet and giving and caring of Lexi's feelings. The contradiction was highly entertaining.
Lexi is sweet, but blessed with a temper. I loved that about her. And as she struggles to find her footing in a world of hockey, fame and new family, I grew to love her quirky sense of humor, her giving heart and her boldness against a new sister giving her fits.
I also enjoyed the secondary story with Brian and Georgia. I however, got really frustrated with Grey. Hormones are no excuse for brattiness.
I guess I just love all things Fury and Bennett.
