I loved everything. Every word. Every emotion. I couldn't put this story down. Lizzie, or Beth as she wants to be known now is trying to find herself again. For the past few years, it's all been about moving on from her sister's death. Now, it's her senior year and all she wants is a little freedom and adventure. That adventure starts with Chase. If only she knew then what she knows now. Isn't that what everyone says?
This story was all about forgiveness, moving on from a tragedy, and growing up. It's amazing what Beth as a teenager is able to do and see that even most of the adults in the story cannot. People were hurt and lives were changed. That doesn't mean life has to stop. Beth was able to see that and understand it. She wanted to live. She wanted her family back. She wanted her friend. I hoped and prayed for a specific outcome. I wanted so many things to happen. I laughed. I teared up. I experienced it all. Now I want to read about Beth's college years. Can we get those? Thanks!

This book was like what??? I can't even explain.
Beth is A 17-year-old girl who is supposed to be having the time of her life, enjoying her teenage years, and yet her life is anything but a party. After her sister died, it feels like her life was over too... Her grief was so painful and it was like you were there experiencing her pain. Seriously her parents, I can't even, her mother I wanted to shake really really hard. After sneaking out one night to just have fun and let loose, she meets Chase... He intrigues her and she is instantly attracted to him. After spending the night together, she thought she would never see him again. But she is surprised that he is the new guy at her school but also the guy who killed her sister.
Her one night of rebelling has turned into complicated. After what he has done, she should hate him, she should have nothing to do with him, but she can't. She can't regret their night together, and she can't stop thinking about him.
All Chase wanted was a fresh start, His life has not been easy the last couple of years, now he has served his time and he just needs a break. But it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. With everyone 'hating' him and trying to stay away from Beth, it seems his life is destined to be complicated.
Will it even be possible for him to be with Beth, after everything that happened? Will Beth take the risk of being with Chase and leave everything and everyone behind or will she give in to everyone controlling her and living her life for her?

Sweet, heartbreaking second chance story. Two people who have lost so much and just trying to live their life. Finding happiness in each other, but will everyone give them that happiness or take it away from them?
I love this author, she writes heartbreaking emotional rollercoaster books that will have you crying, angry and so much more.
