He’s been her ultimate untouchable desire.

Nothing says happy birthday like a rock god flying thousands of miles to surprise a woman he's never met. But that's exactly what happens to Gabi Smith when she gives her long distance best friend a flippant invitation to her laid back girl’s night out. She never expected to turn on the dance floor and find Blake Kennedy’s gaze holding her body captive.

She’s his everything and he’s never laid eyes on her.

Gabi means more to Blake than life itself. She’s his strength, his savior, and the only person who helped to vanquish his demons. No one means more to him than his angel. So when things between them start to sizzle, he's ready to fight for the future he never thought he would deserve.

Skeletons from his past will threaten his only chance at love...

Blake has come a long way—with Gabi's help—to leave the hell of his youth behind him, but sometimes memories don’t want to stay buried. Determined to stand on his own for once, Blake is willing to stretch the truth to keep his troubles from burdening the woman he adores.

Little white lies can create black holes in any relationship. Only time will tell if an Aussie with a heart of gold will forgive her bad-boy boyfriend or if the deceit will end his passionate addiction.

 Leeann's Review

This is Blake & Gabi’s story and the 1st thing that pops into my mind with their story is “ Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we first practice to deceive”.

Blake and Gabi met in an on line chat room for people with addictions. Their relationship slowly developed from chatting online, to emails and phone calls, then 4 years later on Gabi’s birthday they met in person.

Although Gabi knew who Blake was, he had never even seen a picture of her. When they meet, their relationship immediately turns intimate & she is welcomed into the Reckless Beat family instantaneously and she loves them all as much as they love her.

Gabi has always been the one Blake has turned to when things aren’t going well and she has always been happy to be there for him. She has been his biggest supporter & believer.

But he has one more demon to face. Gabi doesn’t know anything about this & Blake wants to finally be a man & clean up his own mess. He wants to protect her & his band from his big secret. He thinks he will not only be kicked out of the band, but lose Gabi as well if this secret got out.

Blake’s anguish over this is so great & there are moments that will bring tears to your eyes! Poor Gabi has no idea what is going on, but as with all famous rock bands, secrets don’t stay hidden for long when your living in the public eye.

The fall out is devastating for Blake Gabi & the band. This is one of those books that make you want to jump in & shake some sense into the characters. The things Blake does to keep his secret seem silly & there are so many people that love him & would help him if he asked but he is just too scared to ask & too scared of what people will think of him if they found out.

To get their happy ever after, Blake has some huge making up to do & Gabi has some major trust issues to overcome. The band is super supportive of Blake, but is it enough??

I absolutely adored Blake & Gabi & desperately wanted Blake to open up & tell Gabi what was going on but I could understand why he didn’t. They love these 2 share is the once in a life time kind. It is beautiful to see them gradually fall into their own rhythm & it is sad to see it fall apart.

Eden Summers has included all the required elements to make a good romance (lust, attraction, friendship, steam, sexy, angst, love) but there is also an extra spark that not all romance writers are able to find.

I loved this book, I love Eden Summers style of writing & I really hope there is more to come from this series!!
