Can you imagine being so unhappy with your life and not being allowed to make any decisions for yourself, even down to what food you eat? Well that is Stella Harts life as she knows it. She is a country singing star and the world loves her.
Van is a Hockey player and he lives life full throttle. He lives with his brother who just happens to be Stella’s biggest fan.
One night, one decision changes the course of both their lives and the world as they know it will never be the same.
Ms Jenner has taken 2 very complicated characters and given them whole new lease on life. The changes in them over the course of the story is both subtle and obvious at the same time. The changes to the individual characters are gentle and progressive but the changes that take place in them as a couple are huge. Their relationship changes at a rapid pace and once they decide they are in, they are all in.
Both Stella and Van are likeable characters and they have as many flaws as they have positive traits.
As far as support characters go, Vans mum, brother & friend are all likeable but Stella’s manager Lana is not so much. Maybe if she got her own book and her own story she would become more likeable.
This is an overall enjoyable book that had me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next! One thing is for sure, you will never look at Skype sex the same way again!!

I love sports romances, I love hockey so a hockey romance is the best combination!!! I loved this story. It started off super funny! The playful banter between Stella and Van was THE BEST!!!
While I did enjoy the characters, as the story went on, there were little things that bothered me. Van is this playboy hockey player and Stella is suppose to be this virginal girl next door. Stella let her insecurities get the best of her. There were a few times I wanted to tell her to put her big girl panties on! I fell in love with Emmett, I really wish we would have gotten more of his during the second half of the story. He was such a great character!
Like I said, I loved the beginning part of this story. It hooked me! It was funny and filled with sexual tension! It sort of tapered off as the story went on but still very much enjoyable! If you like sports romance with some humor and some heat, I would recommend this book!

you running from?” I say, echoing the me from several months ago when this
strange and beautiful creature had arrived on my doorstep, lost, and seeking
refuge from a world that might have destroyed a lesser woman.
She takes
several steps back until there’s nowhere left to go but on top of the counter.
“I’m not running from anything.”
I press
against her. She’s stiff as a board. That
makes two of us. “I miss you, Stella. I jack it every day thinking about
you, sometimes twice a day. I want you.”
“You
can’t have me, Van.”
“Bullshit,”
I hiss. I slide my hand into her hair, and pull her closer. I lean in, but I
don’t kiss her. “Tell me you miss me. Tell me you’re thinking about me, too.”
“I don’t
. . .” She shakes her head, but her breath is hot and heavy against my face.
“I’m not.”
I close
my eyes and rub my cheek against hers. My stubble is likely scratching her
delicate skin, but she doesn’t pull away, and I slide my hand under her shirt.
She’s braless. I groan. All those long days and nights she tortured me at the
cabin by wearing only my flannel shirts with no bra, and probably no panties
either, for all I knew. This little cock
