Zack Morgan is a hockey genius. He is attending a prestigious university and is has been drafted by another prestigious team before he's even finished college. But Zack is having as hard time right now. It's like everyone he steps on the ice he has a panic attack. But he has to keep up the charade of being the best athlete, people look up to him and he can't let them see his failing, that he doesn't deserve this glory, he doesn't deserve this happiness when someone else can't have the same type of happiness he could have. But then he meets Sugar, and he can't understand what it is bout this girl that has him losing his mind to be with her.
Sugar is a 21year old law student. She lost her mother when she was young and her father left her and her mother as he already had a wife and kids. Now she is doing everything she can to show her rich father's family that she can be just as good and just as high and mighty as them by getting into Vanderbilt law school. But she has now been wait-listed. So she comes up with the plan to get Zack Morgan to be her fake boyfriend to impress the Dean at Vanderbilt. So what does she do, she kind of stalks him. And before she knows it she gets what she wants but for some reason the fake relationship is turning out to be a a little to real for her. One is in a dark place and the other is trying to get the approval of someone she doesn't even need. Can they be the other ones saving grace. Will Sugar be able to make Zach see that he deserves everything that is set out for him and will Zack be able to convince Sugar that she doesn't need anyone's approval that she is amazing just the way she is?
Definitely a sports romance that had me hooked from the start. I read this one in one go as I just couldn't stop. I loved the banter between these two. I loved the fights they had, the amazing hot and steamy moments but also the parts that they could just be honest with each other. I also loved the other characters as well. I can definitely add this to my favourite pile️
