Sofia Kendrick has always cherished her tiara. As the youngest daughter of a wealthy New York family, she’s lived the life of an American princess. But after two scandalous divorces and a breakup smear her name across the society rags, the shine from her crown has dulled. People call her superficial, even gaudy.
She’s nothing more than tinsel.
Desperate for escape and starving for peace, Sofia heads to Montana for a holiday weekend with her brother. But she doesn’t get the relaxing vacation she planned. Instead, she’s put to work in a bar alongside Dakota Magee—a man who does not want her help. A man who is set on teaching her a few lessons about real life and hard work. But Sofia has a couple of life lessons of her own to teach. Like how to fall in love.

Review by Tatia:
If you need a new favorite author and have not read Devney Perry, 1. Where have you been?, and 2. She’s the one. Not many authors can create such a perfect piece of work that I literally can find nothing that I’m uneasy about. Every aspect and detail comes together so flawlessly that I’m solely focused on the story.
Dakota and Sofia are some of my absolute favorite characters EVER! They were brought up completely different and don’t seem like 2 people that would be able to coexist together much less get along, but then they start to learn from each other. Their lives start to become intertwined and then they have to part. They live in two completely different places and want different things. How could they ever possibly make it work?
PERFECTION! I don’t give out 6 stars easily or freely. I don’t even know if I had one last year. But Tinsel, it deserves every star. It left me thinking about it constantly. At work, home, while eating dinner, I found myself daydreaming about it to the point that I was sneaking every word in that I could. Stay up late and be tired at work? Worth it. Skip that shower? That’s what dry shampoo is for, am I right? I couldn’t get enough. I still wish I hadn’t finished. Devney Perry is an author that everyone should discover. Her name needs to be known far and wide.

Review by Leeann:
So, when I started reading this book I kind of thought “Oh here we go, another spoiled poor me rich girl story” , but as you read on you quickly see it is so much more.
Sophia is a bit of a spoiled rich girl, but when she is delivered a cruel reality check, you soon see there are many layers to this young woman and she is so much more than she seems.
Dakota starts off a bit of an enigma but once he warms up to Sophia, all bets are off. There is heat, steam, fun, laughter and as their genuine friendship forms you can see the potential for more.
They have many barriers to overcome, but if they can pull it off they will be rewarded with a once in a lifetime kind of love.
Deveny Perry has a way of writing that pulls you in from the beginning and has you investing in her characters and wanting them to succeed. She weaves a story that is fascinating and heart-warming with just enough angst and heat mixed in to keep you hooked and leave you wanting more.
This book is one that will have you locked away for a couple of hours escaping reality and sharing a journey with these two characters that are very much worth taking time out of your day for!
