Anna Martin was looking for a nanny position, but she found more than she bargained for when she fell for single dad Nic DeLuca. When she finds out he’s a mafia boss, her head tells her to run but her heart tells her to stay. With his baby girl in the hospital, Anna stands by her man in his time of need. Please note: Nic & Anna’s romance is a three-part story, but there are no relationship cliffhangers.

Review by: Kathryn

Danger is another quick read and the second installment of the Mafia Ties series.  Danger is once again a well written read that starts off where we left off with Deception.  The book is once again told from dual point of view.
Danger provides us with an opportunity to gain more of an insight into how the organisation operates and the family dynamic through their banter and interactions, with both Anna and Nick's families appearing more within the story line.
This book has everything you look for in a mafia romance, danger, intrigue, deception, action, sweetness and sexiness.
I look forward to the conclusion with Caution.

EXCERPT

Damn, the girl was fast. But Nic was just as quick, because I found myself lifted off my feet, carried into the house, and placed onto the couch in the living room, in what felt like the blink of an eye.
He sat down next to me, leaning over, his face close to mine. "We need to talk." I pushed against his chest, trying to get out from under him, my mind a jumbled mess after everything I'd just heard. What I'd just learned about him. My Nic was a mobster. It was almost impossible to believe. He was into bad stuff, illegal stuff. Things about which I had zero clue because he'd kept me in the dark.
"We'll talk," he promised, his hand sliding under my robe and up my inner thigh. "After."
"After?" I stuttered, my breath hitching when he sank two fingers inside me.
"After you come on my hand, in my mouth, and on my cock."
I pushed against his chest again, even as my legs widened slightly, giving him better access to my body. "I'm angry with you, Nic. And hurt. And a little scared."
He stilled over me, staring down at me with pain filled eyes. "I will never hurt you, mia dolce. Never."
It was a heartfelt vow, and I believed him. It might make me the most naïve person on the planet, but I knew deep in my bones that Nic didn't mean me any harm.
"I know," I whispered softly, one hand sliding up his chest to cup his cheek. "But I'm still unbelievably angry with you."
"Then take your anger out on my body, Gianna, and let me show you exactly how sorry I am."
"But-" I tried to protest. Despite everything, my body responded to his dark tone. A quick twist of his wrist had his fingers rubbing against my G-spot and any coherent thought fled my brain.
With expert strokes, he drove me higher and higher until I was fulfilling the first part of his promise, coming on his hand. Then he dropped to his knees, lifting my legs over his shoulders, and his mouth latched on to me. He ate at me like he was starving—licking and sucking while he held my hips down so I couldn't move. It wasn't until I'd come twice more that he lifted his head. I saw my wetness glistening on his beard before he wiped it against my belly, bared as the robe had parted wide down the middle. Then he unbuckled his belt, unzipped his pants, and pulled his cock out. It was hard and bobbed thickly against his stomach.
Without any preamble, he lifted my hips into the air, lining us up and driving inside of me. Sensitive from my orgasms, I felt every inch of him as he slid against my drenched heat. He was so big, my body had to stretch to take him all. Somehow, I was both uncomfortable and excited at the same time. Then he pulled out, only to thrust back in and my mind blanked as he pounded into me. Deep and hard. I'd thought he'd been rough with me the night before, but it was nothing compared to the way he was taking me now. Like he owned me, and my body loved it. I was caged between his muscular body and the couch, writhing in ecstasy, and even with what I knew about him, it felt like exactly where I belonged. When his mouth dropped down to mine, claiming it in a searing kiss, I was thrown over the edge once again, taking him with me.
Chest heaving, on a panting breath, Nic growled, "Now we can talk. And you'll listen to me, with my come filling your pussy."

Brawler by Scott Hildreth • BLOG TOUR & REVIEW

Title: Brawler
Author: Scott Hildreth
Release Date: May 16, 2016
Add on Goodreads

All men suck! They lie, cheat, and break women's hearts. I'd all but given up on relationships when I met Ethan Harlow, a drop-dead gorgeous boxer at Kidd's Gym.

He was sexy, muscular, tattooed, and talented.

So, I decided to give boxing - and men - one last try.

My name is Jaz. I'm a boxer. This story is about my rise to fame, all the while doing the two things I enjoyed more than anything on earth.

Fucking and fighting.

Along the way, however, I found out everything there is to know about being loved.
And my life will never be the same.

Brawler is a STAND-ALONE, rags to riches romance. HEA, no cheating, no cliff hanger.

INCLUDED FREE after BRAWLER as an appreciation to my faithful readers is a copy of my #1 Amazon Best Selling Romantic Erotica F*ck Buddy. Thank you, and enjoy!!

Review by: Kim

Scott Hildreth always delivers a story that draws us in and holds us hostage with words that somehow bring our emotions to the surface.
This book is an amazing tale about a girl who wants nothing more than to make life what she wants it to be.
Jaz is an amazingly strong woman. She's had a hard up-bringing. Only instead of letting life beat her down, she learned how to use her fists instead.
I love her open mouth and say what you mean way of speaking.
Personally I'd like to run toward life like she does.
Brawler is full of lovable characters that provide lots of gruff "bad" words and will make you smile.
I fell in love with Kelsey. Yes, he's hard and would rather flip you the bird instead of speaking, but he's lovable too.
Ethan's quiet slightly shy ways made me wanna hug him. And his willingness to stand by Jaz...priceless.
Ripp...well, let's just say he's one of a kind.
We also get to meet A-train again and sit at the family dinner table which is always a fun crazy place to visit.
This book is a wild ride. One that will provide several hours of sweet, sexy, heart-pounding entertainment.

Review by: Erin
This was my first book by this author. I have heard many good things about him so when I got the chance to read this book, I jumped on it. The blurb sounded very intriguing. Jaz forges several new bonds in this story. There is the bond with her coach, Ripp. There is also Kelsey. I knew you had it in you old man! I laughed so hard at the scene at Ripp’s parents house. But the best relationship was with Ethan. These two are epically HOT!!! You will definitely need fresh undies! They also have this soul deep connection that was so beautiful. This story will most definitely leave you crying and they will be beautiful tears. I will definitely be diving in to more of this author's work. Very soon!

I had decided I would tell Ethan what my concerns were, see what he thought, and make my decision on how to proceed with matters based on his responses. I didn’t expect him to commit to me, nor was a sure I wanted to commit to him, at least not yet.
As ridiculous as it sounded, I wanted confirmation that he intended to continue fucking me. I didn’t care what we chose to call our situation, I was concerned with more important things.
The most important thing.
Cock.
“How long have we known each other?” I asked.
“A month. Give or take.”
“Things have changed between us here lately, and I want to discuss it.”
He looked worried. “Okay.”
“We’re fucking now.”
He returned an awkward stare. “Is that bad?”
“No,” I said. “It’s not bad, it’s just. I don’t want it to stop.”
“Okay.”
Ethan wasn’t opposing me, but he sure wasn’t making me feel comfortable that he was vested in our conversation, either.
“I’ve got this fear that you’re going to walk away, and I’m going to be…”
It seemed strange telling him I was concerned that his big cock was going to ruin me from being able to be satisfied in the future. The longer I struggled with choosing the words to finish my sentence, the more ridiculous the entire conversation seemed.
I was mid-sentence into my explanation, and I wished I hadn’t even started our little cock talk.
“I’m not going anywhere.”
I appreciated the reassurance, but I wasn’t convinced. “Give me a second. I wasn’t done with my thought, and I need to think of how to say it.”
“Okay.”
My brain was mush. I’d never been one for beating around the bush, and there was no sense in starting now.
“You’ve got a really nice cock,” I said.
He seemed embarrassed, but eventually he smiled. “Thanks.”
Really nice. And. Well. I was afraid that in a few weeks I’d be ruined, and then…you know…it’d be impossible to be satisfied in the future.”
There. I said it.
He stared back at me as if waiting for me to continue. I returned his stare, waiting for his response.
His brow wrinkled and his eyes narrowed. “I’m lost. You said a minute ago that you didn’t want to stop doing it. Then, you said if we continued, you’d be ruined. Did I hurt you or something?”
“Hurt me?”
“Yeah.” He gestured toward my crotch. “Tear your junk up?”
My junk?
“No.” I chuckled. “You didn’t tear me up.”
He looked confused. “So what are we talking about?”
“I said I wanted some commitment from you that you weren’t going to just…I don’t know…walk away. You know, that you weren’t planning on hittin’ it and quitin’ it. Not that that’s never happened, because it has. But if it happens with you, I’d rather it happen now than after a while. I just don’t want to be left, you know, struggling to have orgasms later in life because I’m all hung up on thick cocks and I can’t find one after you’re gone. I know there aren’t any assurances in a deal like this, but I was wanting…I was hoping that you’d tell me that you weren’t planning on…” I cleared my throat. “Are you going to fuck me again?”
His eyes went wide. “Wow.”
I scrunched my nose and glared. “What?”
“You are a girl.”
“What do you mean?”
“You fight like a man. You walk like a man. You talk like a man. Well, when you cuss, anyway. But that? Whatever that was? That was one hundred percent girl. It made no sense whatsoever.”
“Which part?”
“All of it.”
I had explained everything. For as polite and as attentive as he was, he was a complete man.
Never paying attention to what a woman says.

BLURB

Hard core fucking.
It’s not what I really want, but it's all he has to offer. He's filled with turmoil and heartache and regrets, but for two hours every Wednesday all he feels is me. How much I desire him, how desperate he makes me, how much I'd like things to be different between us. Real.
He used to be my best friend back before he got married. And now? Now, he’s a young widower. It'd be wrong on so many levels to expect something more from him. So I give him what he needs. Dark delicious fucking. But I know I can’t keep this up. I've already given him my body, my soul. I want him to have my heart. It might drive him away forever, but that’s a risk I’m forced to take.
Wednesday is an angsty romp told from dual points of view. If you’re in the mood for something quick and dirty, you’ve found it. Proceed at your own risk.

If you need a quick, hot read...this is your book!!! This is a friends to lovers story but with a twist. And it was a really interesting twist. That's what first drew me to the book, I wanted to know how it was all going to play out. Along the way we got several hot scenes between Shaw and Chloe. It was a really quick book, very straight forward and to the point, which I've noticed in the author's other books, but sometimes that is exactly what I want. My only issues is...I WANT MORE!!! I would love to read more about Shaw and Chloe! Overall, it was a great, quick read!

Review by: Kim

I love this author. So being able to read this book was an amazing windfall for me.
The subject matter for this book hits close to home for me. That put me into a position where I could really understand Shaw and his torment.
His hurt and anger were mine.
Chloe...she just wants to love the man that has always been her One. She won my heart with her willingness to give her all to Shaw with only one thought in her mind. To help him heal.
Wednesday is hot and steamy. It's also a rather quick read. And left me wishing for just a little more.
But this author did an amazing job tying up all the loose ends.
I'm not sure if this was an easy book to write. I imagine not though because writing about loss and healing and learning to go on is never easy.

Wednesday by Kendall Ryan gets 4 stars!!!!! This book was definitely a lot of ALPHA, kinda dark but somehow I loved broken Shaw and sweet and wonderful Chloe! Their story is one of loss, lust and LOVE!!!

Shaw is broken and a widow... & his best friend Chloe is his one escape from the pain and memories! They make Wednesday's their special day. Chloe has always been there for her child hood best friend but lately she's rethinking her steps and wondering can she do this forever and not get what she needs in the end. Sometimes it's just not enough.....

Grab Wednesday if your looking for a alpha, sexy, raw and fun quick read and you won't be disappointed.

Review by: Kathryn

The Rule Book is the story of Lainey and Brogan, its funny, sweet, heartfelt and completely captivating.  I found this book to be a really enjoyable light-hearted romantic comedy that was thoroughly entertaining.

This book is not your normal billionaire boss read, it's a heartfelt fun read. Brogan is Lainey's boss he's young, handsome, successful and completely scared to trust.  Brogan has an employee manual with hundred's of rules, with many bordering on the ridiculous.  He needs the rules to maintain order and control.

Lainey is the complete opposite to her boss she is funny, cute, confident, sarcastic and clumsy.  She is constantly putting her foot in it when she doesn't think before she speaks.

Lainey has difficulty finding her feet, making friends and fitting in at her new workplace, which i find totally relate-able.
The book is only told from Lainey's point of view.  I would have loved if some of the book/scenes/byplay between the pair were told from Brogan's point of view.

The additional characters added to the story, particularly Lainey's mum and her roommate.

The sexual innuendo and slow burn between the pair, mixed with a great deal of humor made this one a really quick read that I personally didn't want to put down.  This book is a slow burn and although the characters are enthralling the pace is quite slow, and it doesn't really have any explicit love scenes, so may not be to everyone taste.

I look forward to reading more from Jennifer Blackwood in the future.
