--Synopsis--

A dude being best friends with a chick isn't something you see very often, but I wouldn't change it for the world.
What I would change is convincing that best friend to have no strings attached sex.
Why? Because strings always attach.
And in this case, they were mine.
I fell in love with her, then I watched her walk away to pursue her happiness.
It sucks. Because she was my happiness.
I belong in the south. I’m a country boy at heart who loves animals and farm life. She thinks she belongs in a big city where she can grow her name in the world of fashion. The girl’s got skills, and if anyone can do it, it’s Affton.
Only problem? That also means she ain’t got time for anything but that big city and fashion world.
When she walked away I never thought I’d be dragging her back for the reasons I do. The girl’s got a fight in her, but apparently not when it comes to him. He’s done shit to her that makes me want to dismember him slowly enough he suffers. But of course Affton doesn’t want me to have anything to do with him.
Fine. I swallow my pride. My instinct. My anger.
All for her because she’s finally back where she belongs.
With me.
I should have trusted my gut because now he wants to make her pay for being here and being happy.

Review by: Leeann

This is a book that covers some very sensitive issues and may not be everyone’s cup of tea. I personally loved it. Yes it was tough to read in some parts but the overall story was brilliant.
Affton makes a decision when she is younger that changes the course of her life so dramatically that she doesn’t see any way to bounce back from it. She feels like she has no family to turn to & has burnt the bridge to the last friend she has left.
Then she gets a call that changes everything..

Tommy is a sexy cowboy who has always know he was meant for 1 woman. Only problem is that he can’t have her. He is a good natured darling that will lay down his life for those he loves.

When I volunteered to review this book I was not really sure what to expect and I was quite honestly blown away. I just loved it.  At times I got frustrated with Affton and the choices she was making but I also felt a great empathy for her. It was hard not to.  I really wanted her and Tommy to get their happy ending and at times it felt like it was just out of her reach. Tommy is determined and he will fight for them even when it seems she won’t .

I love, love, loved this book and it is so worth one clicking!

Piper’s favorite part about Frost? The fact that she puts up with her. Period. Also the fact that she makes her writing better every damn time. She's friggin' brilliant. Frosts favorite thing about Piper? Frost loves the fact that when they get together to create it becomes a tornado of brilliance that Frost couldn't be more grateful to be caught up in with Piper. Piper’s artistic abilities and mad skills make Frost so proud to be associated with her (it makes her look good too). Also if Piper didn't adult for the both of them, not much would get done.
What they both know as true, however, is that creating babies together has been the best adventure either of them has ever been on.

When we were younger, Temperance Price was the quiet girl with dreamy eyes who hung on my every word. She was always beautiful, but I had plans to get out of Red Oak and make a life of my own.
Ten years later, a crushing tragedy has brought me home again—right back to her.
The innocent girl I left is gone, and in her place is a sassy single mom I can’t get out of my head. She’s hired me to fix her house, but I have other things in mind.
She thinks I’m just a handyman.
She thinks we’re only friends.
She thinks I’ve never noticed her.
I think what really needs to be fixed is her whole perspective.

Review by: Flavia

Temperance Price was the shy nerdy girl in school. The quiet one who kept to herself. And she had a huge crush on Asher Kade. But she thought he never noticed her. But unbeknown to her he did. Asher Kade liked Temperance Price, but because he was leaving small town behind him he didn't want to start anything with her. So he flirted but never engaged with her
Years later Temperance is a single mother, and Asher Kade is finally back home. His brother died and his father wants to retire from his construction company. And now that his brother isn't there anymore it's up to Asher to take over.
Now he finally gets his shot with Temperance. And no matter what he is going to take it. But even though this is her chance to be won him, Tempie has a secret that she needs to tell him. The problem is how, when he is everything she wants and more. And how will he react when she finally tells him her secret .

For a debut novel this was a good start. I loved Asher from the beginning, and the way they were with each other was so sweet. And when he met her little girl he couldn't help falling in love with her too. Temperance grew on me I have to say, she annoyed me a bit with her yes I want you, no we can't be together, like really pick one🙈 But all in all I enjoyed the story and hope to read more from this author in the future.

FIXING HER TEASER 1.jpg

Excerpt:
I’m nervous but excited. My gut says to run away, but the glass of wine I just finished off is telling me this is an excellent idea. Feeling brave, I hold the phone out at arm’s reach and take a selfie of me sitting on top of my unmade bed. Times like these make me glad I’m not great about washing the small amount of makeup I wear off before bed. Typically, I just use a baby wipe right before I fall asleep to wipe off whatever bit of mascara survived the day. Today’s makeup, though light, is still present. I’m spread across the bed in my tiny black shorts and my favorite red tank top with a shelf bra built in. Before logic can make its way into my brain I hit send. I review the picture and instantly regret fills my stomach. I felt so brave thirty seconds ago. But staring at it now, I see the small rolls of my stomach, and my chest needs more support than the tank itself can provide. Those are not perky twenty-year-old breasts. Those are the breasts of a woman who’s edging toward thirty and has had a baby. I’m ashamed of the dark circles under my eyes. Why did I send that pic? Asher: Fuck My heart sinks. He probably sees all my flaws, too. In a dimly lit house they might not have been noticeable in passing. But on a phone screen, where you can zoom in they’re just there for the seeing. Asher: Wow. That’s an incredible sight. I’m unable to conjure a complete thought, nothing sexy, witty, or interesting. I’m frozen, knowing he’s staring at a photo of me, in awe. Asher: Ok, my turn. I’m not in any way prepared for what he sends. I’ve seen him shirtless. Hell, I can’t believe I’ve seen him nearly naked in person, felt him in the palm of my hand. And still, I’m in shock at the sight of him stretched out on his bed in just a pair of thin gray sweats, his hand on top wrapped around the outline of his long, thick cock. I stare for too long at that hand holding that cock firmly. I almost don’t even notice the smirk on his face. He knows how attracted I am to him. Just being around him makes me weak, and by the look on his face I’m guessing he knows how turned on this sight is making me. My resolve weakens. It’s not even just his hard body or amazing face. It’s the patience he’s shown my daughter. It’s his willingness to spend his time and skills to help me. It’s how he came home to relieve his parents of the stress and pressure of losing a son and attempting to run a business. It’s everything I don’t deserve to hold so close to my heart. He’s a remarkable man. A man that in a different life, at a different time, I would fight tooth and nail to make mine. Asher: You still there? You’re starting to hurt my ego. Me: Yeah. :) Just setting your profile pic on my phone. Asher: Better make sure it stays locked then. Me: No worries. I cropped it a tad. Asher: Just a tad? I giggle. There ain’t nothing tad-like about that cock. Me: Well . . . maybe more than a tad. ;)

Synopsis:
Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again.
After fifteen years together, he walked away from me, and into the arms of another.
I didn’t know how to cope. I didn’t know my worth. I didn’t know how to exist without him by my side.
All I wanted was for him to come back to me.
Then, Jackson Emery appeared.
He was supposed to be a distraction for my mind. A summer fling. A confidence boost to my bruised heart.
We were perfect for one another, because we both knew we wouldn’t last. Jackson didn’t believe in commitment, and I no longer believed in love. He was too closed-off for me, and I was too damaged for him.
Everything was fine, until one night my heart skipped a beat.
I didn’t expect him to make me laugh. To make me think. To make my sadness somewhat disappear.
When our time was up, my heart didn’t know how to walk away.
Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again, yet slowly my prayers began to shift toward the man who wasn’t right for me.
I prayed for one more smile, one more kiss, one more laugh, one more touch…
I prayed for him to be mine.
Even though I knew his heart wasn’t destined to love.

Review by: Erin

This story was incredible. I loved the storyline. The twists and turns that come out of nowhere. The backstory was heartbreaking. Jackson and Grace are phenomenal characters. I was reaching for every word, not able to read fast enough. I love their random facts. I loved that Grace has her own mind and doesn't believe everything she hears. She forms her own opinions from observation, not gossip. I was completely heartbroken for Jackson and loved it when he figured out he could be something more than what everyone thought of him. This story was truly inspiring.

Excerpt:

Jackson
“I’ve read about boys like you in books, ya know,” she whispered, her fingers slowly spinning spirals on my chest. “Oh, yeah? What did those books teach you about boys like me?” “Well…” She bit her bottom lip, and with a small inhalation, she whispered, “They taught me to stay away.” “Then why are you so close?” She tilted her head up, looking me straight in the eyes. “Because in those stories, the heroine never ever listens.” “And then there’s trouble?” I asked. “Yes, and then there’s trouble.” From the way she said those words, I knew trouble was exactly what she was in search of. We were the classic cliché. She was the good girl next door, I the monster from around the block. We were perfect opposites for the perfect storm, and she was asking me to be her next flaw, her greatest mistake. And, well, who was I not to live up to her request? “I could destroy you,” I warned. “Or save me.” “Is it worth the risk?” “Isn’t it always worth the risk?” The more she touched me, the more I wanted to touch her back. I wrapped my hands around her wrists flipping us around so she was now against the wall with her hands above her head. “I have rules.” I leaned in closer, lightly brushing my lips against her neck. God, she smelled good, like peaches and my next sin. “You can’t break these rules, either.” My tongue rolled from my mouth and circled against her neck before I gently sucked her skin. She shivered at my touch. “What are they?” “Rule one,” I whispered, my mouth moving across her collarbone. “You never stay the night.” “Check.” “Rule number two,” I said, dropping her left arm to the side. Taking my hand to the bottom of her blouse, I slowly raised it up and massaged her skin. “You never develop feelings.” “That’s easy enough,” she replied, her breaths uneven as I teased at the top button on her jeans. “I don’t believe in feelings anymore.” I didn’t know why, but that made me sad for her. I, too, didn’t believe in falling for people, but that was my norm. Grace seemed the type to believe in something bigger than love, so the fact that her belief was completely gone was a bit surprising. Maybe we had more in common than I thought. “Rule number three…we don’t talk about my life.” “Like ever?” “Never.” “Okay.” “And lastly, rule number four…” My mouth brushed against hers, and I slid my tongue slowly across her bottom lip. “If your favorite pair of panties get ripped, don’t expect me to replace them.”

Disrupt by Ella Fox • RELEASE DAY BLITZ

Title: Disrupt
Author: Ella Fox
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Blurb

Donovan Beckett is a recluse who wants no commitments or entanglements of any kind. He works hard to ensure no one can penetrate the wall he’s carefully constructed around himself—until the day his new neighbor stumbles into him.

It isn’t anything like instant love. Far from it.

Eden Avery doesn’t want to be curious about her neighbor. He’s the most infuriating and closed-off person she’s ever met—not to mention the rudest. She doesn’t want to find the uptight bastard irresistible and she shouldn’t be able to sense the minute he’s within spitting distance, but does. She really shouldn’t fantasize about his hands on her body, but that’s happening too.

They can fight it all they want, but nothing can stop the mutual attraction that’s about to disrupt both of their lives.

Excerpt

I collide with and immediately bounce off something huge and hard. My arms flail as I start to topple backward. I'm saved by a pair of strong hands that halt me before I land on my butt. I’m barely able to process that I’m upright before the hands are gone.
Blinking in confusion, I slowly look up and take in a man who is easily a foot taller than my five foot one frame. He’s like an angel in black—tall and broad shouldered with large hands and rugged arms. His black t-shirt does nothing to hide his six-pack abs, and the black jeans and black work boots he’s got on only make him more roguishly appealing. Everything about him is sexy including his sporty, masculine scent. I’ve never come across someone so mesmerizing in all of my life. His longish dark hair, closely trimmed beard and sensual lips are straight up panty-melters, so I bet women throw themselves at him on the regular. The very thought of this bothers me far more than is reasonable or appropriate.
My heart slams against my chest as my eyes meet his. Something strange passes between us, something I can’t put name to. I’m at a loss because I haven’t experienced anything remotely similar before. I feel my cheeks flush with color as I stare up at him. Biting my lip nervously, I blink up at him like an idiot as I try to force words out of my mouth. Questions are zinging through my head at high speed—things like who are youor where did you come from and finally, holy shit, has this kind of thing ever happened to you before?
Before I can articulate even one of those things he blinks and the moment is over. I cringe when I realize whatever was in his eyes is gone, almost as if it never happened at all. Now, he’s pinning me with a look that could permanently freeze the tropics. Even still, his eyes make me weak in the knees, regardless of the fact that they’re now subarctic. Jet black lashes frame the most beautiful deep blue eyes I’ve ever seen, and right now they’re transmitting one message loud and clear—stay the hell back. I’ve never come across anyone less inviting in all my life.
“I—I’m sorry,” I sputter. “I didn’t mean—”
His sensual lips form a flat line as he sidesteps me. “Pay attention to where you’re going,” he snaps.
