There are risks to mixing business with pleasure...

IF A MAN HAS AN AFFAIR AT WORK, HE'S A STUD.

He was a royal prick.
The night we met, he ignored me.
Then Mr. Big Shot CEO grabbed my ass in a business meeting.
My boss just loaned me out to this guy.
Now, we’re working on a major project together.
And our chemistry is dangerous.
Combustible.
If I allow it to ignite, I’ll risk losing that promotion.
Worse, what if I lose myself in him?

IF A WOMAN HAS AN AFFAIR AT WORK, SHE'S A SLUT.

From the moment I saw her I knew she was trouble.
It was the combination of her fresh face, smart mouth and nipples that seemed to know my name.
This woman could satisfy my needs both in the boardroom and the bedroom.
But there was more to it than that.
I wanted her.
Really wanted her.
And I was in the position to change the course of her life.
But I’ve got secrets, secrets that could destroy her.
And either make her mine or drive her away forever.

Slave to Love

Parking the Lotus, I quickly head to her side to help her out. She gives me a look and I laugh, “I’m only trying to be a gentleman.” I feign innocence.
“Mmm-hmm.” Even her mmm-hmm is dripping sarcasm.
Not commando. White lace. Oh God, she’s destroying me. I want to rip them off and lower her onto my lap. Impale her and discover what kissing does to her with my cock inside her.
Damn it. Will I be able to keep the promises I want to make?
Our waiter comes by and I order two Manhattans, smiling at Sierra.
“Craving cherries?” Her eyebrows are raised.
Oh man, she really is going to kill me tonight.
“Only if they are yours.”
“You want mine?” she asks and I can see she feels it. She feels our energy.
“More than you can imagine.”
“I would hate to deny you.”
“Good girl. Then don’t.”
The waiter places the Martini glasses in front of us and I lift mine, “Good to see you again.” And I hope she can see how sincere I am.
“Good to see you.” She takes a sip and her nose scrunches up. “This tastes different.”
“They make theirs with rye whiskey instead of bourbon.”
Another two sips and the cherry is no longer submerged. Sierra reaches into the glass and plucks it out. About ready to pop it into her mouth, she catches my eye and smiles. She’s just messing with me. Reaching out, I grasp her slender wrist and slowly pull it to me. Taking the tips of her thumb and forefinger into my mouth, I suck the cherry out from between her fingers and show it to her on my tongue before slowly chewing it, a smile firmly planted on my face.
I’m still holding her wrist and with my free hand, I signal to the waiter for two more.
“We need to talk, Hale.”
I can see she is struggling. We are in such dangerous territory and we escalate there quickly and too easily. She is clearly unnerved and I’m not sure if it’s by her own behavior, mine or what happens when we’re together. Her eyes search mine as if she is hoping to find some truth. I loosen my hold on her wrist and pick up my drink.
“Let me start by first saying something I have yet to say to you. I’m sorry, Sierra. I’m sorry I disrespected you.”

The Last Round Teaser4

Review by: Dawn

What can I say about this book besides... WOW she hit it OUT of the park or Ring in this case! This book is so different than her other work that I wasn't sure what to expect from it. But what I got was a heartbreaking fight to save the one thing that matters the most in this life. True love. When your back is against the wall and you feel like you are losing everything you fight to keep it you fight to make it better stronger. That's what this book is about. The way the story is written is one of the best I've seen in a long time. When it seems like everything is just like any other book you get one that comes along and blows you away. That's what this book, this story did for me. A story WELL written brings everything back into prospective.

5 stars all the way!

Review by: Leeann

This is a story of two people who have been married for 12 years and are now on the brink of divorce.
Julian is a champion boxer. He works hard and plays even harder.. Without his wife.
Natalia is an up and coming actress. She loves her husband and wishes things were different. But they are not.

I think even though they have been married for 12 years, Julian & Natalia are still very immature. They have an idea
of what their ideal life should be like, but they are both on very different pages. Their communication skills need work
and their expectations of themselves and each other need to be lowered.
At the beginning of the story, I found myself wondering how on earth this couple was going to ge their happy ever
after by the end of the book. They just seemed to have so much work to do.

As the story progressed I could see the changes in both Julian & Natalia. Julian in particular changed and grew up.
He changed his behaviours and his attitude. Natalia took a little longer to get on board & realise it takes two to make a marriage work
and that they both had to make changes. Once the penny dropped for her it changed the whole tone of the book & the direction
the story took.

This book puts a bit of a realistic spin on the fairytale journey to a happy ending. I enjoyed the story and the characers held appeal.
If you like to read about a couple that has to work hard to get their happy ending, you will enjoy this book.

F U Cancer by Hilaria Alexander • RELEASE DAY BLITZ & REVIEW

Title: F U Cancer
Author: Hilaria Alexander
Release Date: Dec 29, 2015
Find on Goodreads

Lucy has always been a good girl. The most hardcore thing she's done in her life was falling for a divorced man ten years her senior.

But he was the love of her life and she married him. When her Peter Pan of a husband decided to divorce her, she thought it was her chance to start anew. That was until she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Besides looking like Britney circa 2007, she is taking it well, real well. You might see her walk around the hospital during chemo sessions with bright colored wigs and outrageous t-shirts that seem to shock the most conservative employees. One of them reads F U CANCER.

Review by: Leeann

Lucy has just received life altering devestating news.. She has cancer.
Never in her wildest dreams did she think it would lead her to the love of her life. Nor does she realize the struggles they will face in their attempt to get their happy ever after.

Brandon is a doctor and he has plans that don't include a relationship.
He has no clue when he sees Lucy at the hospital what path life is about to take him down.
Not only does he fall in love with Lucy, cancer and all, but also with her children.
Unfortunately this doesn't change his plans and he has no idea if Lucy will want to wait for him. In fact he has no idea if he will even make it back to her.

When I first started reading  Lucy's story I felt absolutely gutted for her. She is a young and active single mother. This shouldn't have happened to her. She is generally a good person. But as everyone knows, cancer does not discriminate. But as the story goes on, you see a different side to Lucy. She has an inner strength that not even she knew she had. This story will bring you to tears and make you laugh.

I'm not sure if this book is based on the authors experience, someone she knows or is just pure fiction, but it written in an extremely realistic way that had me believing it is somewhat based on some bodies personal experience.

Well worth checking this one out!

I should have suspected something. Instead, when the doorbell rang, I opened the door without the slightest idea of what was waiting for me.
Beverly showed up on my doorstep along with the man I had tried to keep away all week.
“Shit,” I said. “What now?”
Brandon smiled, but looked sheepish, which made me worry. He was holding a bouquet of roses, and handed it to me without saying a word. I took it and thanked him, and when I locked eyes with his, I felt a million different feelings unleash inside of me.
He was giving me that hooded, cautious look. His eyes looked a deeper blue than usual. My eyes fell on his mouth and I realized how much I had missed his touch.
I wanted to jump into his arms, but there was still doubt in my heart and it was weighing the happy-go-lucky part of me down.
“Okay, so…as you might have guessed by now, you and I aren’t going anywhere,” Beverly spoke. “But you and Brandon are going on a little adventure–”
“What?” I turned to her snapping out of my Brandon-induced daydream.
“Yes! And you have to leave, like…right now. So, chop-chop!”
I looked at Brandon quizzically. “What do you have to say? Cat got your tongue?” I joked.
“I want you to come with me. I don’t want to have to persuade you. I’m also afraid I’m going to spill the beans and ruin the whole thing,” he said.
“You seem pretty good at keeping things to yourself,” I sneered.
“Alright! Easy, woman! Come on, time to go!” She came behind me and started pushing me towards Brandon’s car.
“Okay, okay!” I took my purse, locked the house and unwillingly walked to the car, all with the flowers in my arms. “Crap! I forgot about the flowers. I turned to Beverly. “You have the keys to my house, right? Would you mind putting them in a vase?”
“I’ll do it,” she replied.
“Thanks.”
“But first, there’s something else I have to do.” She exchanged a look with Brandon and I stared confused at the two of them.
She got a strip of black fabric out of her purse. What the hell was that?
“Turn around,” she commanded.
“What?”
“Turn around. I have to put this blindfold on you.”
“Seriously?” I gasped. How could these two people be those I used to think I trusted? “Am I not coming willingly?” I asked Brandon.
“This is her idea,” he replied, tilting his head in Beverly’s direction.
Of course. I should have known. Miss lover of kinky steamy romance novels.
“Well, it’s not necessary,” I argued.
“It totally is,” Beverly rebuffed. “It’s going to ruin the whole surprise. Wear the motherfucking blindfold or so help me God, Lucy.”
“Okay, okay.” Jeez. Who knew she could be such a Bossypants? “You’re making me reconsider our friendship, you know,” I told her.
“Lies,” she said, tying the knot behind my head. “All done!” she exclaimed and then pinched my butt.
“Ouch!”
“Awww, stop it, you sissy. Give me these.” She took the flowers from my arms. Brandon took my hand and just the feeling of his warm fingers around mine, made my heart jump a little. I exhaled.
“I promise you, this is going to be good,” he whispered in my ear. God, his voice sounded even sexier than I remembered.
He helped me in the car and put the seatbelt around me. His lips brushed against mine just for a second, and I gasped.
“I have to admit, I do like this blindfold,” he teased.
“Of course you do.”
“I almost forgot,” Beverly said. She took my hand and placed some lightweight object in my hand. It was shaped like a square and it was made of paper.
“What is it?”
“A CD mix. A little ‘sorry for blindfolding you, friend, have a great time on your mystery road trip’ playlist.”
“Road trip?” I asked.
“Oops, I said too much. Anyway, I’m sure you’re going to hate me a little less after you listen to it.”
“If you say so.”
“Have a fabulous night and don’t forget to tell your best friend she’s the best when you end up having a great time.”
“We’ll see about that,” I joked and smiled, but I wondered if she knew I was joking. I couldn’t see her and wasn’t sure if she was smiling.
“Bye, Lucy. I wuv you!”
“Wuv you too!”
She closed the door, and a moment later I heard Brandon’s door open and he sat in the passenger seat. He closed his door and started the car.
“Where are we going?” I asked him.
“You’ll see.”
“Well, at the moment, I can’t see anything.” He laughed. It was a warm, rich sound that eased up the nervousness and made me smile.
“I missed your smile,” he said. “I can’t believe you had the strength to stay away from me a whole week.”
“Eight days,” I corrected him.
“Were you going to keep giving me the cold shoulder if I hadn’t showed up at your door?”
“I don’t know.” I heard him exhale a deep breath and wondered if that hurt his feelings. It was easier to be indifferent to him when he wasn’t around. Now, in the small space of the car, my head swam in his scent, his words made my heartbeat speed up, and a warm and fuzzy feeling spread into my chest. The knots in my stomach dissolved and the words almost come rushing out of my mouth.
“I missed you too.”
“Good,” he said.

Author: Anie Michaels
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 29, 2015

I miss him.
I miss Marcus.
I miss Riot.
I miss them.
Pushing Riot away when Marcus died was an act of desperate self-preservation. I didn’t love him any less, didn’t blame him for Marcus’ death, but I couldn’t be with him and deal with the crushing weight of guilt that tore me down every single day.
So, I moved on. Or tried to, anyway.
Life, of course, pushed us back together.
I still don’t know if I’m strong enough to keep myself away from him. Or if I even want to.
Besides, something tells me life isn’t done trying to break me.

Review by: Erin

OMG!!! I am so emotional after reading this story. This story has all the “feels” that you look for in an amazing book. Kalli and Riot have worked their way into my heart and will likely stay there forever. Kalli has been heartbroken and is still reeling. With the help of her friends and an amazing man (Riot), she will surface on the other side stronger than ever. Riot is even better in this second book, if that is even possible. He is what dream men are made of. He is the ultimate package. He is caring and compassionate. He is also very romantic, loving, understanding, and one h*ll of a dirty talker! I love the relationship he has with his family and that they take to Kalli like fish to water. This part of their story will fill you with hope and love. Their connection is soul deep and their chemistry is explosive. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!

Review by: Leeann

This is a stunning conclusion to Riot and Kalli's story. And it picks up exactly where book 1 left off.

I had moments reading this story where I just wanted to jump right in to the pages and wrap Kalli up in cotton wool, And Riot for that matter. He is truly a man in love and will do anything for Kalli.

In this book not only does Riot and Kalli's story come full circle but so do Kalli's issues.
She resolves a lot of things and the outcome is one I didn't see coming but it was spot on. I don't think it could have been written any better than it was.

I felt a lot of emotion over the course of these 2 books and may have even have shed  a tear or 2!
If you like books that make you feel and led yu to think you know where it's going only to find out you don't and are suprise by what happens, then you most definitely want to check this one out.

Anie Michaels has done a fantastic job bringing Riot and Kalli to life in a story that sets the scene for a once in a life time love that quite literally brings them to their knees and resurrects them into a beautiful couple that realize their strength lies in them being together and as long as they are together they can overcome anything life throws at them.

Definitely well worth reading this series!

“This story came out and grabbed me hard and infiltrated in my heart and soul, to even stay there even after I was done reading the books. This story is so fantastic that it's so unlike anything I've ever read before. I can't find the right words to describe it. It's a beautiful emotional journey that will leave you smiling.” - 5 Star Review (Winchester Book Reviews)
“Holy cow! I could not have even imagined the ending! This one has almost left me speechless with the emotions.” - 5 Star Review (Goodreads)

Review by: Erin

I LOVE this book! I am so in love with Kalli and Riot. I loved Kalli’s character from The Never Series. She was very intriguing and caught my attention. I am so happy that she got her story. Kalli’s story has devastation written all over it. It is so emotional. If you don’t cry, you don’t have a feeling in your body. Kalli is a very fierce character. By that I mean that she is very sure of herself and her place in life. She has been dealt a sh*t hand and has come out the other side a better person. She could have taken the easy way out, but that is not her nature. I love the relationship she has with her brother. They are very close and have an amazing bond. She is not prepared for Riot, or the feelings he brings out in her. Riot has become one of my Top Ten BBF’s. He is the complete package. He is just an amazing man. The cliffhanger ending will leave you bawling like a baby and needing the second book immediately.
